Basketball Recap: Madison Comes Up Short

Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Patrick Henry Patriots, falling 48-17. If the Warhawks were looking for revenge after losing 42-9 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kyerra Bell was a one-woman wrecking crew for Patrick Henry as she dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. Patrick Henry is undefeated when Bell posts eight or more rebounds, but 3-4 otherwise. Kimora Nears was another key player, putting up six points and ten rebounds.

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Patrick Henry, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4.

Madison wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-22 defeat against Rancho Buena Vista on the 11th. As for Patrick Henry, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-49 victory against El Cajon Valley on the 11th.
