Softball Recap: Taylor County Extends Winning Streak to Three

Taylor County proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 11) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Jasper County Hurricanes 3-2. The victory was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on three straight.

Taylor County's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Jasper County, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-5.

Coming up, Taylor County will challenge Lamar County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 2.4, the Trojans 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Jasper County, they will square off against Oglethorpe County at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Hurricanes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
