Soccer Game Preview: Upland vs. Rancho Cucamonga

The Upland Highlanders/Scots will venture away from home to square off against the Rancho Cucamonga Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Upland's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Upland fell victim to Chino Hills and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huskies.

Meanwhile, Rancho Cucamonga didn't have quite enough to beat St. Lucy's on Wednesday and fell 4-3.

Upland's loss dropped their record down to 8-6-1. As for Rancho Cucamonga, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-5-2 record this season.

Upland took their victory against Rancho Cucamonga in their previous matchup last Monday by a conclusive 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Upland since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
