Softball Recap: Woodland Comes Up Short

Woodland fell victim to Cass and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Colonels. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Colonels recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Woodland's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Cass, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodland will challenge Cedartown at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Cass, they will head out to take on Cartersville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Colonels' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hurricanes have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
