Football Recap: Lorena Find Success

Malakoff came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Lorena, but Jaxon Blancett wouldn't allow it. The Leopards narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Tigers 38-35 with plenty of help from Blancett, who threw for 474 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 52 yards. Lorena also relied on Blancett, who's 48-yard boot wound up being the difference in the game.

The win got Lorena back to even at 1-1. As for Malakoff, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Looking ahead, Lorena will host Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Malakoff, they will venture away from home to take on Madisonville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
