Preview: Walnut vs. Fairmont Prep
The Walnut Mustangs will head out on the road to challenge the Fairmont Prep Huskies at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Walnut had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Tartans a 5-0 shutout. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Walnut.
They hit St. Margaret's with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from

Adrianna Link.
In what's become a running theme this season, Fairmont Prep gave their fans yet another huge victory last Wednesday. They blew past Pacifica Christian/Orange County 6-0. The result kept Fairmont Prep happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 16, 2023.
Walnut is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9-4 record this season. As for Fairmont Prep, their win bumped their record up to 14-1-2.
