Softball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

If Austin was feeling good fresh off their 18-3 takedown of Scottsburg on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles came up short against the Brownstown Central Braves on Thursday, falling 21-0. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Braves recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Austin now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Brownstown Central, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Austin will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Brown County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Austin's pitchers better be ready for this one: Brown County has averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Brownstown Central, they will square off against Trinity Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
