Baseball Recap: Pierce County Comes Up Short

Pierce County and Rockmart squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Pierce County had to settle for second. They fell 8-4 to the Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on Tuesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Pierce County and nudges their season record down to 26-10. As for Rockmart, the win (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 30-5.

Pierce County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rockmart, they have already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against the Bears on the 13th.
