Basketball Recap: Linden Comes Up Short

Linden lost against Bret Harte back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Linden Lions were beaten by the Bret Harte Bullfrogs 75-9. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1132nd, while the Bullfrogs are ranked 310th).

This is the second loss in a row for Linden and nudges their season record down to 1-8. As for Bret Harte, their victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-3.

Linden will challenge Summerville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Linden is facing Summerville at the right time seeing as Summerville is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Bret Harte, they will face off against Calaveras at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bret Harte's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
