Soccer Game Preview: La Costa Canyon vs. El Capitan

The La Costa Canyon Mavericks will face off against the El Capitan Vaqueros at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Friday, La Costa Canyon and Mission Hills finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw.

La Costa Canyon's goal came courtesy of Devan Carman, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, El Capitan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Rancho Bernardo. Lia Peterson was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on her (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

La Costa Canyon's draw makes their record 3-2-2 this season. As for El Capitan, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
