Basketball Recap: Selinsgrove Falls Despite Big Games from Lissa Kruskie and Madi Merrell

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Selinsgrove can now relate to. They fell 46-34 to the Central Columbia Bluejays on Tuesday. The Seals' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Selinsgrove's loss came despite strong showings from Madi Merrell and Lissa Kruskie. Merrell went 6-for-15 en route to 13 points, while Kruskie posted ten points in addition to six boards and six steals. Merrell has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played.

Selinsgrove's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Central Columbia, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-3.

Coming up, Selinsgrove will be playing in front of their home fans against Lewisburg at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Central Columbia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
