Soccer Game Preview: Bacon County vs. Brantley County

The Bacon County Raiders will venture away from home to challenge the Brantley County Herons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bacon County's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Bacon County is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They lost 11-1 to Tattnall County on Tuesday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Raiders were already down 7-1.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Brantley County was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell just short of Worth County by a score of 2-1. One reason for the loss might be the Herons' aggressive play style: three Brantley County players were handed yellow cards.

Their goal came courtesy of Elias Esser, who's now up to two this season.

Brantley County dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Bacon County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything went Bacon County's way against Brantley County in their previous matchup back in January of 2022, as Bacon County made off with an 11-0 win. Will Bacon County repeat their success, or does Brantley County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
