After a string of nine wins, Wheaton Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Sunday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Marmion Cadets who were credited with the victory. The Marmion Cadets got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Wheaton Academy Warriors' four.

Mason Brooke wasn't going to let Marmion walk away unscathed as he scored both of Wheaton Academy's goals, bringing his season total up to 14 goals.

Wheaton Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Marmion, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 11-1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wheaton Academy will face off against Bishop McNamara at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wheaton Academy will be up against Bishop McNamara's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.71 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Marmion, they will take on St. Laurence at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
