Football Recap: Topsail Pirates vs. West Brunswick Trojans
Topsail extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 13 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-9. They lost 21-0 to the West Brunswick Trojans. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Pirates couldn't quite close it out.
Tyler Vickers threw for 86 yards on 12 of 20 attempts. Wade Revelas was his top target, picking up 40 receiving yards.

West Brunswick can attribute much of their success to Josiah Borton, who rushed for 87 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries. The dominant performance also gave Borton a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two).
Topsail will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on New Hanover at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. As for West Brunswick, they have already played their next matchup, a 24-21 win against Ashley on the 24th.
