Football Game Preview: Moody Bearcats vs. Marlin Bulldogs

Moody hasn't had much luck against Marlin recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bearcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Moody will be strutting in after a victory while Marlin will be coming in after a loss.

Moody hadn't beaten Riesel on the road since October 16, 2015 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Bearcats blew past the Indians 28-6. The result was nothing new for the Bearcats, who have now won four matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Marlin played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 42-17 to Rosebud-Lott.

Moody now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Marlin, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Moody was taken down by Marlin 62-0 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Bearcats, Roderick Suiters (who threw for 136 yards and three TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
