Basketball Recap: Dayspring Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Dayspring Christian Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 52-0 loss at the hands of the Surry HomeSchool Runnin' Patriots. The Lions have struggled against the Runnin' Patriots recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Surry HomeSchool's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Butcher, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Williams, who had ten points.

The victory made it two in a row for Surry HomeSchool and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Dayspring Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-47 win against Southwest Virginia Academy on the 13th. As for Surry HomeSchool, they have also already played their next contest, a 43-42 victory against Woodland Baptist Christian on the 10th.
