Softball Recap: Springville Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

Springville came tearing into Monday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Midland Eagles by a score of 9-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-2 on Monday.

Springville pushed their record up to 12-8 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Midland, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Coming up, Springville will head out on the road to square off against Edgewood-Colesburg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Orioles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Midland, they will welcome Monticello at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
