Basketball Recap: Mastery Charter Hardy Williams Comes Up Short

Mastery Charter Hardy Williams was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 54-16 loss at the hands of the Abraham Lincoln Railsplitters. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 575th, while the Railsplitters are ranked 245th).

Abraham Lincoln got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Saaliyah Allen-Wright out in front who posted 14 points. Those 14 points gave Allen-Wright a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiny Santiago, who scored 13 points.

Mastery Charter Hardy Williams' record is now 6-10. As for Abraham Lincoln, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Mastery Charter Hardy Williams will head out to face off against Mastery Charter South co-op [Mastery Charter Lenfest/Mastery Charter Thomas] at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Abraham Lincoln, they will square off against Executive Education Academy Charter School at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Abraham Lincoln has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
