Everything went their way against the New Hampstead Phoenix on Tuesday as they made off with a 10-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but Benedictine sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Their offense was hitting New Hampstead from everywhere, as eight different players booted in a goal. Mills Hollis led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.
Benedictine pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those five matchups. As for New Hampstead, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
Benedictine wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 4-1 win against Richmond Hill on the 10th. As for New Hampstead, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Towns County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Towns County will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something New Hampstead surely won't give up without a fight.
