Soccer Recap: Firebaugh Victorious

Firebaugh's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They had just enough and edged the Wonderful College Prep Academy Lions out 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Eagles were the better team in the second half.

Julissa Lopez and Katarin Quinteros scored both of Firebaugh's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Firebaugh's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-8-2. As for Wonderful College Prep Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Firebaugh didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 6-0 victory against Sierra on the 19th. The Lions have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Wolves on the 18th.
