Softball Game Preview: South Effingham Mustangs vs. Pierce County Bears

The South Effingham Mustangs will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Pierce County Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, South Effingham was able to grind out a solid victory over Wayne County, taking the game 4-1.

Meanwhile, Pierce County put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let Lakeside get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. Those four runs were actually the fewest the Bears have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

The victory got South Effingham back to even at 1-1. As for Pierce County, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.
