Hugoton put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Colby 63-18. With Hugoton ahead 35-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Colby's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gage Krohn, who picked up 115 receiving yards and one TD. Krohn really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 70 yards. Cody Wright got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Hugoton's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Colby, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hugoton is set to square off against their familiar foe Scott on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Eagles 7.8, the Beavers 3.2) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Colby will take on rival Holcomb at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
