Soccer Game Preview: Lewis Central vs. Ankeny Centennial

The Lewis Central Titans will face off against the Ankeny Centennial Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

The home team had come away the winner the last seven times Lewis Central and Lincoln had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Titans came out on top against the Lynx by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The game was the first time Lewis Central have beaten Lincoln on their pitch since April 5, 2018.

Meanwhile, Ankeny Centennial had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on Washington with a sharp 4-1 win on Saturday.

Lewis Central now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Ankeny Centennial, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Lewis Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Ankeny Centennial when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
