Basketball Recap: Evergreen Valley Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Evergreen Valley couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a blow against the Justin-Siena Braves on Tuesday, falling 73-39. The Cougars have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Jordan WASHINGTON was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 29 points and 16 boards for Justin-Siena. The contest was WASHINGTON's seventh in a row with at least 15 points. Lauren KELLER was another key player, shooting 50% from the field to rack up 13 points.

Evergreen Valley's loss dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Justin-Siena, they are on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 21 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-3 record this season.

Evergreen Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Justin-Siena, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 64-36 victory against Menlo-Atherton on the 6th.
