Baseball Recap: Sycamore Triumphs

While Sycamore put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Edgewood. The Aviators sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over the Cougars. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Aviators.

Sycamore got a great performance from Corwin Wang as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Wang also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Aviators are 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-10 otherwise.

Sycamore's record now sits at 13-11. As for Edgewood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-9-1.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Sycamore will square off against Springboro at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Edgewood, they will host Sidney at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
