Soccer Game Preview: Santa Fe Christian vs. Francis Parker

Santa Fe Christian hasn't had much luck against Francis Parker recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Santa Fe Christian Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Francis Parker Lancers at 6:00 p.m. Santa Fe Christian's last six matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Santa Fe Christian is headed into the game having not lost since the tenth and will look to keep things rolling. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Chula Vista Learning Community Charter on Monday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while the Cobras are ranked 665th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Francis Parker was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They came up short against Pacific Ridge, falling 3-0. Considering the last time the Lancers couldn't score was back in December of 2024, the team can't take the result too hard.

Santa Fe Christian's victory bumped their record up to 8-3-3. As for Francis Parker, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-6-2.

Santa Fe Christian suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Francis Parker in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Santa Fe Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
