Marina came tearing into Wednesday's match with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the York Falcons as they made off with a 61-35 victory. The Mariners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 26 points or more this season.

Marina got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Shekinah Williams out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. Williams' evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Mia Martin was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

Marina's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for York, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
