Softball Recap: Palisade Comes Up Short

Palisade was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 16-3 to the Widefield Gladiators.

MacKenzie Gray was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

Palisade's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Widefield, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 22-2.

Palisade wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-6 victory against Pueblo Centennial on the 18th. As for Widefield, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 15-0 loss against Elizabeth on the 18th.
