Volleyball Recap: Cross Keys Comes Up Short

Cross Keys was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Druid Hills Red Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Phoenix of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Leading Druid Hills to victory were Sophia Florence and Sydney Patterson. Florence had ten assists and six aces, while Patterson had nine digs and two aces. Those six aces gave Florence a new career-high.

Cross Keys' loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Druid Hills, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-6 record this season.

Cross Keys has already played their next contest (against Southwest DeKalb), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Druid Hills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Clarkston on the 23rd.
