Softball Recap: Rock Bridge Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hickman on Tuesday, Rock Bridge came back down to earth. The Bruins fell just short of the Grain Valley Eagles by a score of 8-7 on Friday. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Rock Bridge's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Grain Valley, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-5.

Rock Bridge has already played their next matchup, an 11-1 win against Helias on the 30th. As for Grain Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-1 defeat against Liberty North on the 26th.
