Softball Recap: Highway 6's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Kearney Catholic hit Highway 6 with a 13-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trailblazers came up short against the Stars, falling 15-1. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Trailblazers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Highway 6 saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Neveah Browitt, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Highway 6 fell to 2-1. As for Kearney Catholic, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Highway 6 will head out on the road to square off against Wilber-Clatonia at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kearney Catholic, they will face off against Centura at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Centurions' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Stars' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
