Basketball Recap: Laurel Falls Short of Neshannock in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Laurel can now relate to. They came up short against the Neshannock Lancers on Friday, falling 66-40. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Lancers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Laurel's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Neshannock, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season.

Laurel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Neshannock, they will welcome South Side at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
