Georgia high school football: Brody Hannah of Loganville tops state passing yardage leaderboard

Sophomore signal caller coming off 553-yard performance in win over Clarke Central.

According to statistics submitted to MaxPreps, sophomore Brody Hannah of Loganville leads Georgia high school football in passing yardage. See the state's top 50 passers below.

Hannah has recorded 2,264 passing yards and helped the Red Devils to a 4-4 record. He is coming off a 553-yard, seven-touchdown performance in a 51-50 victory over Clarke Central. In his last three starts, Hannah has thrown for 1,325 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Senior Aaron Philo of Prince Avenue Christian (Athens) is second with 2,180 passing yards. The Georgia Tech commit had a four-week stretch in September where he threw for at least 300 yards in each game, including two 400-yard games. Philo has 11,506 career passing yards.

Freshman Lyndon Worthy of Worth County (Sylvester) also makes the list with 1,553 passing yards. Worthy comes in at No. 14 and has the Warriors off to a 4-3 record. In a 62-34 win over Berrien on Sept. 22, the freshman threw for 409 yards and six touchdowns.
