Soccer Game Preview: Redlands vs. Beaumont

The Redlands Terriers will venture away from home to face off against the Beaumont Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Redlands will be strutting in after a victory while Beaumont will be coming in after a defeat.

Redlands took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let Yucaipa onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Terriers as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Lizelle Nguyen and Kayla Snyder scored both of Redlands' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Beaumont took on Redlands East Valley on Thursday. Beaumont fell just short of Redlands East Valley by a score of 1-0. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Cougars couldn't quite close it out.

Beaumont's loss dropped their record down to 12-8-2. As for Redlands, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-7-1 and their overall record up to 6-8-6.
