Softball Preview: Pomona Panthers vs. Green Mountain Rams        
        
		
            The Pomona Panthers will head out on the road to  face off against  the Green Mountain Rams  at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Pomona has given up an average of 12.8  runs per game this season, but Saturday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Pomona is headed into Saturday's   matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games  on Friday. They came up short against  Dakota Ridge, falling  14-2. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by  exactly 12  runs.
Meanwhile, Green Mountain got the win against Wheat Ridge  on Wednesday by a conclusive  18-3. Considering the Rams have won eight contests by more than seven  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Jenna Neuenschwander spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on three hits and racked up nine Ks.
 At the plate,  Dalilah Camacho and  Linnea Iversen did most of the damage at the plate:  Camacho  went 2-for-5 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple, while  Iversen  went 3-for-4 with three  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. Those  four  RBI gave  Camacho a new career-high.  Kara Johnson was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with two  runs and one  RBI.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Green Mountain  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 17  hits. They are 6-1 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
 Green Mountain is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Pomona, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.
 Pomona might still be hurting after the  22-12 defeat they got from Green Mountain  in their previous meeting  back in September. Can the Panthers avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
