Football Recap: Valley Lutheran Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Valley Lutheran fell victim to Salome and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Frogs, falling 54-0. The Flames lost against the Frogs in their previous head to head back in October of 2017, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 42-28 score last time.

Brandon Navarro was his usual excellent self, rushing for 143 yards and one TD on only eight carries for Salome. Navarro has become a key player for the Frogs: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Marco Felix, who rushed for 49 yards and one score.

Valley Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Salome, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4.

Valley Lutheran didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 54-6 defeat against Desert Heights Prep on the 10th. As for Salome, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 55-18 loss against Bagdad on the 10th.
