Softball Game Preview: Northwest Whitfield Bruins vs. Adairsville Tigers

The Northwest Whitfield Bruins will head out to face off against the Adairsville Tigers at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwest Whitfield hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Northwest Whitfield fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Gilmer on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 3-2.

Meanwhile, Adairsville lost 10-1 to Heritage on Monday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Generals recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Adairsville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Roberts, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Northwest Whitfield's defeat dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Adairsville, their loss dropped their record down to 12-15.

Northwest Whitfield couldn't quite get it done against Adairsville in their previous meeting back in August as they fell 8-4. Can the Bruins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
