Softball Recap: Hebron Christian Lions vs. Dawson County Tigers
Hebron Christian had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Dawson County Tigers on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since September 14, 2024.

Hebron Christian got a great performance from Kate Kennedy as she tossed 6.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. The dominant performance also gave Kennedy a new career-high in strikeouts (five).
At the plate, Juls Huber and Leah Jensen did most of the damage at the plate: Huber went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Jensen went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Huber has posted since back in October of 2024. Rylie Walker was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Having lost for the first time this season, Dawson County fell to 2-1.
Looking ahead, Hebron Christian will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Collins Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dawson County, they will venture away from home to challenge Chestatee at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
