Recap: New Hope-Solebury Lions vs. Lower Moreland Lions
The New Hope-Solebury Lions lost against the Lower Moreland Lions back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. New Hope-Solebury was the victim of a tough 60-39 defeat at the hands of Lower Moreland. New Hope-Solebury has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why New Hope-Solebury lost, one person who can't be blamed is Isabella Elizondo. Despite the final result, she scored 14 points.
Lower Moreland was led to victory by Dani Brusha and Sydney Santora. Brusha scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Santora almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Santora has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Briana Mcferran, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
New Hope-Solebury has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Lower Moreland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5.
New Hope-Solebury will head out on the road to face off against Quakertown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Hope-Solebury is facing Quakertown at the right time seeing as Quakertown is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Lower Moreland, they will be playing at home against Springfield Township at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lower Moreland is coming into the contest with six straight wins at home, so Springfield Township is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
