Baseball Recap: Johnson County Find Success

Johnson County won the last time they faced Telfair County and things went their way on Wednesday too. Johnson County came out on top against Telfair County by a score of 10-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for Johnson County.

D. Devero made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those hits were his first of the season.

In other batting news, Johnson County got a massive performance out of T. Norris, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Norris is becoming a predictor of Johnson County's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-4 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of C. Wombles, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Johnson County's record is now 6-4. As for Telfair County, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
