Soccer Game Preview: St. Mary's vs. Lincoln

The St. Mary's Rams will take on the Lincoln Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

St. Mary's is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Kimball a 7-0 shutout on Wednesday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Rams considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Meanwhile, Lincoln made easy work of Lodi on Wednesday and carried off a 5-0 victory. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by three goals or more this season.

They hit Lodi with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alexis Magdaleno (2), Peysha Hinnant, Trinity Thompson, and Mya Bryant.

St. Mary's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five contests. As for Lincoln, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-2-3.
