It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Aurora can now relate to. They lost 38-14 to the Mt. Vernon Mountaineers on Friday. The Houn Dawgs' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Aurora's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Mt. Vernon, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Aurora does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mt. Vernon, they will square off against Cassville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mountaineers will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
