Soccer Recap: Towers Find Success

Towers proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Putnam County War Eagles. The score was all tied up 2-2 at the break, but Towers were the better team in the second half.

Towers now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Putnam County, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4.

Looking ahead, Towers will host Lamar County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Towers' defense better be ready for this one: Lamar County has averaged an impressive 3.9 goals per game this season. As for Putnam County, they have already played their next matchup, a 5-4 win against Social Circle on the 24th.
