Soccer Game Preview: Eastside vs. Antelope Valley

The Eastside Lions will challenge the Antelope Valley Antelopes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Eastside turned things around against Lancaster on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 7-4 margin over the Eagles. The high-scoring effort was just what the Lions needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

Meanwhile, Antelope Valley's game on Tuesday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. They never let Littlerock onto the board and left with a 4-0 victory. Considering the Antelopes have won four matches by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Eastside's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8. As for Antelope Valley, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
