Football Recap: Faith Lutheran Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Faith Lutheran had lost four straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it five. They were outmatched by the Liberty Patriots and fell 42-10. The game marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Faith Lutheran didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ace Brimmer and Bennett Madden. With that strong performance, Madden is now averaging an impressive 5.2 total tackles per game. Another thorn in Liberty's side was Joel Sandoval, who picked up a sack and made eight total tackles (3.0 for loss).

As for Liberty, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.3 points over those games.

Ezra Sanelivi was his usual excellent self, rushing for 163 yards and one score while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Selby Griego, who threw for 107 yards and a pair of TDs.
