Softball Recap: Canton Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

Canton won the last time they faced Putnam County and things went their way on Saturday too. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Midgets.

Canton has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-13 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.9 runs over those games. As for Putnam County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.

Coming up, Canton will be playing in front of their home fans against Palmyra at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Putnam County, they will square off against Highland at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
