Football Game Preview: Florence Christian Eagles vs. Camden Military Spartans

For the first time this season, Florence Christian will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out to square off against the Camden Military Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Back in September, Florence Christian came up short against Williamsburg Academy and fell 34-21. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Stallions recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Despite the defeat, Florence Christian got top-tier performance from Brooks Poston, who rushed for 99 yards and one TD, and also threw for 12 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Camden Military played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Trinity Collegiate and fell 48-8. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-0.

Having lost for the first time this season, Florence Christian fell to 4-1. As for Camden Military, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Florence Christian against Camden Military in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 48-19 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
