Softball Recap: Jesup Comes Up Short

Jesup suffered their biggest defeat since June 3rd on Tuesday. They came up short against the Don Bosco Dons, falling 9-3. The J-Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in June of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Jesup and nudges their season record down to 22-10. As for Don Bosco, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-12.

Jesup has already played their next game (against Beckman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Don Bosco, they will face off against Grundy Center at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Dons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
