Basketball Game Preview: Muncy Indians vs. Northwest Area Rangers

The Muncy Indians will square off against the Northwest Area Rangers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Muncy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

Last Monday, everything came up roses for Muncy against Montgomery as the squad secured a 60-2 victory. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Northwest Area lost to Southern Columbia Area on the road by a 44-29 margin on Thursday.

Muncy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.5 points over those games. As for Northwest Area, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-4.

Muncy strolled past Northwest Area in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 35-18. The rematch might be a little tougher for Muncy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
