Football Recap: Enka Takes a Loss

Enka lost against Erwin back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Jets took a 28-14 bruising from the Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Jets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 297th, while the Warriors are ranked 139th).

Despite the loss, Enka still got an impressive performance from Logan Trantham, who rushed for 88 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Enka's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Erwin, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Enka will face off against rival T.C. Roberson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Erwin is set to take on their familiar foe Asheville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
